1st John: Faith’s role in the world

This is our last installment on our series on the first letter of John. In the past three programs, the letter focused on the individual and individual faith in the present moment. We looked at the path of faith, the role of humility and forgiveness in the life of faith and the importance of loving compassionate action. Today, in its final chapter, the letter takes a look at a broader perspective, as it helps us answer the question, given what we have learned about these things about individual faith, what does it mean for the community of faith and what is the role of the faithful Christian community in the world? How are we doing as a faithful community?

Thank you to Janet and Tony, our tech team; our music coordinators, Marcia, Marilyn and Sandy, our talented choir, as well as, Mimi and Katharine for lifting our spirits throughout today’s program.
